“And I will make of thee a great  nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing,” Genesis 12:2

   I am moved to write you today about prosperity with purpose. What is our real reason to be abundantly supplied? Do we simply want more, bigger & better stuff here in this life or is there something deeper involved?

   It is an absolute fact that God wants you and I to prosper financially and materially. However, God is not obligated to do anything along these lines for those who have wrong motives.

   There are many Christians who are praying for God to prosper them, but they might as well be twiddling their thumbs. Until they change their heart motives, God must hold up on His involvement!

   Now, God wants to bless (prosper) you TO BE A BLESSING. There is an end to the means. God has a plan for the blessing. He wants to pour blessings into you in order to flow blessings through you!

   Listen, dear friend, if you are a Christian and you know you’re born again of the Spirit, you’re already rich! You do not have to wish to be rich. YOU ARE RICH!  I am so glad to tell you that you do not have to try and struggle for riches. It is reserved in heaven for you where the falling stock market, inflation, and thieves can’t get to it. Praise God! You have been born into the richest Royal Family of all time and eternity. You are a child of the King! It is all yours now and forever! Hallelujah!

   In this present life, however, money and prosperity ALWAYS MUST BE connected to our task of winning and discipling souls. Jesus commanded us to, “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15). We are blessed financially for a Divine purpose. This purpose is primarily to reach & teach people for Jesus. Prosperity apart from this lofty purpose is hollow, empty, lacking in eternal fruit.  

   There is nothing like investing into eternal souls. It is, without dispute, the most sound and lasting investment of all time. You just can’t loose. It’s a win, win situation! Souls bring the greatest return of all investments. You see, just one person is worth more than the whole world! Think of how much many souls must be worth! It is too large to calculate!

  Investing money into eternal souls is an unselfish act. You are thinking of another’s benefit, not your own. Jesus said that it is more blessed to give than to receive. He should know since He is the greatest giver of all time! He is our example. Jesus gave everything for souls. Isn’t that a great and wonderful thought: The One who had everything gave everything for us all. Jesus was, is, and always shall be, abundantly blessed to be a blessing.

   We’re all are tempted to fall into the snare of materialism. In this life, it is a subtle, yet powerful trap of the enemy. You see, the devil really does not care where you put your money as long as it’s not into the gospel of Jesus Christ and eternal souls.

   Do you sincerely want God to be involved in your finances? Then, get actively involved with God’s work on the earth. Believe me, when your heart is right in your giving, God will get right in the middle of your finances and material things.

   Money and material things that we acquire in this life represent our time. For instance, when you receive a check from work, it is given to you because you have exchanged a part of your life for it. Did you know that when you give money into the gospel and invest in souls, you are actually giving people a piece of your earthly life? Do you see how God wishes us to be part of His salvation for people? He wants us to invest something of our own too. That way, we can be more blessed – so that we can be more of a blessing to others!

   Some may misinterpret my intentions for writing about prosperity. No, I am not writing this in order to get folk to give into FFMI. If you have been acquainted with this ministry for very long, you know that we do not attempt to manipulate people to give. If that were the case, I would be blocking God’s flow of blessing to FFMI. My motives here are pure. I am thinking about YOUR benefit and lost souls, not ours. We trust in God to take care of us, and He does that quite well through those He directs.

   What I AM attempting to do in writing about prosperity is encouraging you and, hopefully, stirring you up to get more involved financially and materially in God’s work through your local church, and other good gospel works that the Holy Spirit may direct. Get involved and be part of the most exciting thing of all time!

   God wants you to have nice things. Yes, He does! Your heavenly Father wants you to be exceedingly blessed in material things. He has no problem with that. But, you must keep HIS THINGS first place, not second or third, etc.  

   Now, the cycle is NOT just giving to receive. That’s such a dead end.  But, God’s way is giving and receiving IN ORDER to give some more – ever increasing! Blessed to be a blessing! BLESSED TO KEEP INVESTING! Prosperity with purpose! It’s a never-ending flow of life from God to us, and through us, to precious hurting people everywhere.

   With your heart motives right in your giving, believe God to prosper and increase the seed that you sow. As you think of the souls you are touching with the money that flows through you, always give God praise and glory as your source. You will become vitally involved, more and more, with God’s business on the earth in this generation.

   Remember, it’s all about getting the good news to the lost and hurting ones - those precious people that Jesus died for. Sincerely, with love, KAF
