        In the earthly Ministry of Jesus, God shows us how He views sickness and disease. Time and time again, Jesus healed the sick and diseased ones wherever He went. Jesus openly proclaimed that He did all these good works through the Father who was with Him.

        Acts 10:38 says: “You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him.”  (NASB)

        God hates things that hurt us. He hates sickness and disease! With that in mind, it would do you good to read through the four gospels and the book of Acts at least once every year. Get the revelation of Jesus the healer deep in your spirit. Look afresh at what He did and said. Without a doubt, one major reason He did these things was to give us a true picture of the will of God for people – all people!

        We must get established in the will of God for us. What I mean by “established” is being firm and unmovable in our faith in God’s Word. Physical healing is one of the most important truths that a Christian must be established in.

        My wife, Yolanda, and I were talking the other day about prosperity. We were sharing together that it is certainly a good thing to have money and material provision. But, prosperity apart from salvation and healing is NOT prosperity. Money means little when you are lost and diseased. Even with much money at their disposal, and with the best doctors & hospitals, health has eluded many rich and affluent people.

        True prosperity, then, is being born again in your spirit–ready for heaven, filled with the Holy Spirit, living in divine health and healing, your spirit and mind filled with the peace of God, and having an abundant supply financially, socially & materially. Why do you need true prosperity? So you can effectively DO the will of God for your life, fulfill The Great Commission and win the lost!

        Some say that it’s not important to preach about healing. Well, these dear ones need to tell Jesus that it is not important. He certainly thought that it was when He was on earth! “…He went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him.” Someone needs to tell Jesus our healing was not important enough for Him to shed His blood to pay for. Listen, if Father God and Jesus think it’s THAT important, then, IT IS!

        Obviously, it’s more important to be saved than healed. Everyone should know that. But, the good news is we don’t have to choose between the two! God gave us the whole package! Hallelujah! It ALL belongs to us! Because of Jesus, we can experience the new creation in our spirits, AND healing for our bodies! Praise God!

        It was GOD who included physical healing in salvation. Isaiah 53:5, “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” 1 Peter 2:24, “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” (KJV)

        Healing is God’s will for you! Settle it in your heart and mind! Get solid and established in the gospel of healing! It is through solid, established faith in God’s will for your healing that you receive.

        Dear friend, for a long time, certain sicknesses used to take me down every year. I fought against them, but I was not as grounded in God’s healing Word as later. Even back then, the durations of the sicknesses was markedly shorter. As I have grown stronger in faith, and have become more ESTABLISHED IN THE WORD, these same sickness symptoms, that used to regularly take me down, are much easier to get rid of now. It works the same with anybody who will stay with the Word.

        Does being established in God’s Word on healing mean that sickness and disease won’t bother you anymore? No. As long as you are in this present world where sickness dwells, sometimes, sickness will try to get on you. But, being established in God’s Word gives you powerful ammunition to stop the work of sickness in your life.

       Now, you must stay with it to become established. Day in day out, month in month out, year in year out, studying and meditating in the truth of God’s Word on healing. You will surly become strong in the Lord and firm in His healing Word and, when sickness comes around, you’ll be ready.

        God wants you to RECEIVE His healing power. He paid for it in full! It is available to everyone. Decide to commit yourself to get firmly ESTABLISHED in God’s Word concerning your healing.
