 Nita Regich Gary Regich Ministries "And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You Shall teach them diligently to your children and shall talk of them when you sit in your house; when you walk by the way; when you lie down, and when you rise up." Deuteronomy 6:6 We parents have been charged by God to teach our children diligently. Teach them what? The words, the command of the Lord.This article will specifically focus on the first words that God said about man, "Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." Genesis 1:26 Mankind was made to be and do all of the things described above; so inherently we know that we have power. We sense this as children and we look for the evidence of this power. The world has offered us false evidence of this power and many of us have accepted this. We allow our children to become familiar and idolize the super heroes like Hercules, Superman, Terminator and the list goes on. Our children look at movies, videos and cartoons that show these characters as "super"; and each time they feed on this information the lose the reality of the real "super" one. It's time for parents to follow the command to diligently teach our children the words. The words that say, we are made in the image of God. The words that say we are members of a body with Jesus as our head and "we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us" Philippians 4:13 Let's teach our children that we have the "super" within us that makes us "more than conquerors." Romans 8:37 and that we have been given "authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt us." Luke 10:19 Instead of dolls and pictures of the world's super heroes, show them pictures of themselves and other members of the body, "Christ in us, our hope of glory" Colossians 1:27 Joel prophesized about this time when God would pour His Spirit out on all flesh and our sons and daughters would prophesy. We have such an honor to teach the ones who Jesus said "of such is the kingdom Matthew 19:14 Here are some suggestions for the diligent teaching: • Read the word daily to your children • Use situations to demonstrate the supernatural flow • Take your children to church where the gifts flow • Be an example • Be encouraged parents! This is an exciting time to be alive on the earth. "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord" 1Corinthians 15:58 Nita Regich Nita Regich ministers with her husband, Gary throughout the world.
